Project Ideas

  • Create a photographic history of an amendment to the Constitution.
  • Differentiate instruction with podcasts, videos, and screencast directions. (i.e. Jing)
  • Wikis- Use for collaboration with group research projects, Use for communication to share course content with links, videos, and photos, ( i.e Wikispaces)
  • Blogs - Use for online responses to literature, current events, scientific observation, journal entries, group discussions (i.e. Edublogs Tumblr )
  • Vlog - (videolog) Ask students a question. They video an answer and post it.
  • Create a tag cloud with an essay or paragraph and have students predict main idea from word frequency (i.e. Tagxedo)
  • Podmasters- Students who go out and capture, record, video other students' work, edit and publish it.
  • If you use your classroom web site as a teaching tool for your students, it will naturally communicate to parents what you do in the classroom. if you do it for instruction, communication follows.
  • Throw a camera out to students to capture the learning.
  • Use Google's Wonder Wheel to brainstorm keywords, understand unfamiliar ideas, and narrow a broad topic.
